Biography:
Councillor Martin Rooney is the Leader of West Dunbartonshire Council, Chair of the Recruitment & Individual Performance Review Committee, Chair of the Community Planning West Dunbartonshire, a member of the Health & Social Care Partnership, Glasgow City Region Board member, a Board member on Strathleven Regeneration Company and a member of the Strathclyde Pensions Fund. He also represents the Council at COSLA Leaders meetings. Councillor Rooney also serves on a variety of Council committees including the Audit Committee, Corporate Services Committee, Educational Services Committee, Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development Committee and Housing and Communities Committee.
